Mr. Rakesh Malhotra is an Independent Director of the Company. He is an entrepreneur and technology leader with over 40 years of experience in specialized manufacturing, agbiotechnology, and sustainable agriculture. An engineer by training, he brings deep expertise in manufacturing operations, business strategy, corporate governance, and sustainability driven innovation.

He co-founded Cords Cable Industries Ltd., one of India’s leading specialized cable manufacturers, and as Managing Director successfully scaled the business and led its IPO in 2008.

He is currently Chairman and Co-Founder of Symbiotic Sciences Pvt. Ltd., which has become the world’s largest producer of mycorrhizal fungi, helping improve crop productivity while reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers.

Mr. Malhotra is also Co-Founder of Vardan Agrotech, a sustainable agriculture enterprise focused on hydroponics, precision farming, and protected cultivation. Through his leadership, he continues to drive innovation that enhances resource efficiency, supports farmers, and promotes environmentally responsible agriculture.

With extensive board-level experience across manufacturing, capital markets, ag-biotechnology, and sustainability, Mr. Malhotra is widely respected for creating long-term value through innovation and sustainable technologies.
